Na tříměsíční návštěvě z KPMG Hungary – rozhovor

20. listopadu 2018

Rozhovor proběhl anglicky a tedy - enjoy!

So Ákos, how did it happen that you ended up in Prague KPMG office for 3 months?

KPMG Legal teams have an excellent mobility program called Legal Trek. The applicants can work at a foreign KPMG office for three months and gain valuable global work experience and get in direct contact with colleagues working in other offices. I liked the idea behind the program and I considered this assignment as an excellent opportunity to gain cross-border experience and get insight into the practice of another KPMG office. Besides, Prague can boast with many pros such as the famous Czech hospitality (especially řízek and nakládaný hermelín and other pleasures) so I did not hesitate to apply for the assignment in Prague.

Was the atmosphere in the Czech office any different than in the Hungarian?

Both the Czech and the Hungarian law firms are relatively new offices in the legal market, so the people are young and motivated. This has a good effect on the atmosphere, so I can say that the environment is similarly friendly and inspiring at the same time in both places.

What did you like about Czech Republic the most?

It was really nice to take a stroll after work in Prague and discover some traditional Czech places, a hidden café or occasionally a new pop up market. I also enjoyed socializing with my colleagues after work and fortunately enough there were many occasions to do so e.g. running competition, quiz night, end of busy season party and last but not least my farewell party!

Did you like the Czech version of Goulash?

Yes I did, but when it came to food I preferred svíčková na smetaně... Speaking of gastronomy I am still grateful to my wonderful Czech colleagues who gave me a crate full of budapešťská pomazánka and other handcrafted Czech specialties as a farewell gift. Needless to say the crate was heavy to carry home but much easier to consume the content of it!

Jak je vidět, Ákosovi se u nás moc líbilo. Chtěli byste se stát součástí našeho týmu třeba i na déle než na 3 měsíce? Neváhejte omrknout seznam volných míst. ;)
